Until 1985, The RoomPlace operated as a single store in the Windy City. Today, headquartered in Lombard, Ill., The RoomPlace operates 22 stores in Chicagoland, including three showrooms in metro Chicago; 14 in suburban Chicago; and single showrooms in Rockford, Ill., and Merrillville and Mishawaka, Ind. The company's newest showrooms are located in Indianapolis, Ind. The company also operates a state-of-the-art distribution center in Woodridge, Ill.
